DragonSky Tier List (October Update)

Notes

Before checking out the tier list, please note:

  • Rare Dragons do not get rated, as there is no point in using rares other than their “Team Buffs”.
  • Dragons are rated based on their individual performance on each category.
  • Overall rating is used just for evaluating each and every dragon’s value for all said category, do take note that there are dragons that shouldn’t be evaluated just based on their overall rating, in example of this being V-Rhinosh/V-Bladnought which are not that good overall, but one of the top tiers in case of bindings.
  • Notes are taken purely from our players’ observations and experiences.
  • This DragonSky Tier List was originally created and shared by happerlee and re-shared by @Arkaradiat, @KoalaFear, @Sheol, @trdmonger via the official DragonSky Discord.

What Dragon Is Good?

Each dragon has its’ strengths and weaknesses, and that’s why it is necessary to differentiate them based on progression.
Note: Mystics and Eleve’s that are hard to get are not accounted, purely for easier progression of newbies.

Which Dragons to Focus on First?

Early Game: Stage > Legendary Boss > Journey > PVP (Your team is is with Legendary 4-5stars or epics 5-6stars )

Mid Game: Stage > PVP > Journey > Legendary Boss (Your team is with full 6stars minimum)

  • Legendary (6 Stars): Gaigarus > Illafiend > Nestreza = Vajrathor = Eothos > Ourwin > Unius = Volcan
  • Epic (6-7 Stars-Main): Adelan-Indermon > Adelan-Jupiter > Lovariel > Adelan-Neros > Others

Late Game: PVP > Stage > Journey > Legendary Boss (All your mains is at 7stars and your epics are going thru awakening)

Explanation:

This is a list of a dragon’s ranking/usefulness/performance when compared to the same star dragons. This is mostly based on the dragon’s star based attack pattern’s effectivity.

E.g:

  • (4 ~ 5 Stars): Nestreza> Gaigarus > Eothos – Based on 4 ~ 5 Stars of the said dragons, Nestreza would perform better than Gaigarus and Eothos.
  • (6 Stars): Gaigarus > Illafiend > Nestreza = Vajrathor – In the case of comparing their 6 Stars form, we would see that Gaigarus would perform better than the others, and Nestreza having the same performance as Vajrathor.
  • Epic (Awakening Bind): Volver-Rhinosh ≥ Volver-Bladnought – This would be the ranking of dragon’s binding ability

Note: This list should be taken as a reference and not a down to earth step-by-step on what you should do.

Why this Dragon is better than that Dragon?

neutral NEUTRAL

Notes
wolfgoth

WOLFGOTH

Decent straight-line damage can be useful for bosses, however, it’s stage clearing abilities are quite bad, due to lack of any tracking or homing attack. Not a really good dragon, but also not the worst. EDIT: actually he does have some small tracking bullets, but quite slow and weak.
neros

NEROS

Despite a lack of damage to bosses and a lack of any forms of piercing, it’s an excellent dragon for stage clearing, thanks to his fast and never missing auto-aiming attacks. A good dragon to invest for beginners and early game.
bonehorn

BONEHORN

Pierce, auto-aim and great damage. Will perform great in every category, however, sometimes his attacks might miss enemies when stage clearing but aside from that, this dragon is an excellent choice to start the game.
del mato

DEL MATO

One of the worst epic dragons, lack of piercing, slow fire rate and low damage. His spread shot is useful for PvE and PVP, but still, it’s not helping much. This Dragon is not worth upgrading.
lovariel

LOVARIEL

A boosted version of rare Bonehorn with nearly the same looking attacks. Does have pierce, decent damage and fire rate. Will work well best for PvE but won’t be much worse for PVP and bosses either. Overall, not a bad dragon.
a-neros

A-NEROS

Lacks pierce but it’s the only bad thing which can be said about this dragon. Decent damage and amazing tracking attacks make this dragon quite useful.
e wolfgoth

E-WOLFGOTH

Excellent damage to single target, bosses and PVP enemies. Weakside of this dragon is lack of any strong tracking/homing attacks except weak missiles which make stage farming harder, but even despite that, still, a good dragon to use.
e-bonehorn

E-BONEHORN

Those who use E-Bone as their main dragon knows very well why it’s rated like that. Strong auto-aiming shots which shatter upon reaching the target into more and more piercing bones, dealing great damage to the target, especially powerful against bosses. Can compete with legendary dragons to some degree.
unius

UNIUS

UPDATE: Unius has proven his good pvp abilities, making him a noticeable enemy in PvP, however lack of long-range damage and more consistent aiming damage on PvE makes him get lower ratings on rest of categories
ethos

EOTHOS

Shoots fast-tracking missiles, damaging everything it touches and later exploding with AoE effect, dealing additional damage. Great both for farming and PvP, slightly worse for daily bosses because will target bosses shield spheres first. Worth to mention, that at 6* evolve Eothos gains secondary ATK stat to upgrade as one of only two legendary dragons in-game. Once fully upgraded, will have +50% more atk than other dragons. It might have a huge impact in the late-game.
bitetra

BITETRA

Superb in every category, deals excellent damage to everything with tracking, never missing fast missiles, which shatter into even more missiles, also piercing targets to that. The very powerful dragon which might rule end-game, along with Bivir and Asazel.
brabadon

BRABADON

Uses one-shot straight laser dealing frightening powerful hit with piercing, also shooting few strong aiming missiles. Great for PVP and bosses, however, might have some problems with stage clearing. Also, Brabadon gets fully useful once reaching 6* evolve, missiles are being shot much more frequently then, also increasing power and radius of a laser beam.

fire FIRE

Notes
bladnought

BLADNOUGHT

Literally a flamethrower. Deals good piercing damage to bosses and PVP, however, it’s range is limited. Also can barely afford wave clearing by leaving him as his own. Not so bad dragon, but not good too.
dempseyger

DEMPSEYGER

One word to describe this dragon: bad. Low damage, low fire rare, lack of piercing.. shoots homing aoe exploding balls which are very weak. Never invest in this one.
mecanon

MECANON

Deals great single target damage with straight rapid-fire with few smaller ark-like beams of bullets on sides. Good, but having serious problems with stage clearing. Aside from that, good dragon.
indermon

INDERMON

Terrible for stage clearing and mediocre for rest. Low fire rate and low damage compared to other rare dragons. Almost lacks any homing attacks. Very weak dragon.
rosard

ROSARD

Quite good in everything, shoots fast-tracking and piercing missiles with good damage, pretty much all that can be said, decent dragon.
v-bladnought

V-BLADNOUGHT

Launches huge powerful AOE fire disks on short-range, can deal huge damage when placed in front, feel free to buff and level up this dragon, you won’t regret.
A-INDERMON

A-INDERMON

Epic boss killing machine, deals absurdly good damage with his fan-shaped attack, piercing targets to that. Fireballs are big enough to reach almost the entire map when right placed. Excellent dragon.
E-MECANON

E-MECANON

A miserable failure compared to the rare version. Deals low damage with spread shot without piercing at a slow rate. The only reason for his C+ rating is his spread shot for PvE. Bad dragon overall.
E-DEMPSEYGER

E-DEMPSEYGER

VOLCAN

VOLCAN

Deals catastrophic damage to a single target with piercing, also aiming its target. Slightly worse for PvE due to low fire rate and bit weak aim, but its power can’t be ignored. Excellent dragon.
NESTREZA

NESTREZA

One word: lasers. Deals great instant damage to all targets in reach, making Nestreza a great multipurpose dragon and an aswell fearful enemy on PVP once enough upgraded.
NAZITHA

NAZITHA

Shoots powerful lasers in a straight line with piercing, dealing terrible damage to anything on its path. Also worth to note that Nazitha at 5* evolve unlocks 2nd ATK buff slot, which might matter a lot in late-game. Another Excellent dragon.
ANGEMOTH

ANGEMOTH

water WATER

Notes
jupiter

JUPITER

Launches electro-balls in enemy direction, staying there for a while and dealing damage over time. Electro-balls can stack on the battlefield for a few seconds. Jupiter’s damage is quite low, however. Mediocre dragon.
CRYD

CRYD

The very worst dragon in the game. Deserves D rank, it’s damage is extremely low and spreaded in random directions on the battlefield. Barely deals any damage on boss or PVP fight. Never, under any circumstances, don’t level up this dragon.
GLYNDAD

GLYNDAD

Shoots “spinning circles” of white bullets in a straight direction. Having quite big AoE. Deals decent damage on quite big area but is still incapable to farm on its own. Overall, a pretty good dragon
MERKYEF

MERKYEF

Almost as great as rare Bonehorn, shoots homing bombs which explode after a short while with powerful, like for rare dragon, damage. Great dragon for beginners and early-game.
PURPLUX

PURPLUX

Constantly shoots strong laser in a straight direction, over-average piercing damage to a single target, however, lacks any forms of tracking/homing attacks which heavily lowers his efficiency. Good for bosses/PVP but bad for PvE.
A-JUPITER

A-JUPITER

Shoots with a thunderbolt-like beam in short-range, piercing and greatly damaging multiple targets. Effective for stages clearing, a bit less for PVP and worse for boss battles because of reduced range of attack, overall, average dragon.
A-CRYD

A-CRYD

As bad as rare Cryd. Shoots ice shards in all directions with very low damage, nearly not damaging bosses at all. The only reason for C+ is his more effective spread shot version than from rare Cryd.
SAVAAHRI

SAVAAHRI

The boosted version of Merkyef, shoots aiming bombs which explode instantly dealing damage and creating AOE dealing additional damage over time. A quite good dragon, especially for PvE.
VAJRATHOR

VAJRATHOR

Shoots with straight-line laser and few electric orbs which deals damage upon constant and makes few smaller damaging electric beams. Excellent for PVP, little less for bosses and bit worse for PvE, still, a great dragon to use and max out.
ILLAFIEND

ILLAFIEND

Shoots with a powerful dark sphere, exploding and splicing in two ways, piercing everything on its path, powerful for PVP and bosses but might have problems with reaching entire map with its attack.
BIVIR

BIVIR

Similar to Bitetra, shoots with very fast, auto-aiming never missing bullets which pierce and shatter into another smaller bullets, also piercing everything. Insane damage, great utility and grind speed make this dragon one of the most powerful in the game.

wood WOOD

Notes
CIERABO

CIERABO

Launches small aiming spheres making poisonous clouds over the map, damaging targets over time, quite good in everything, bit less in bosses, a good dragon to start with.
PTERO

PTERO

Uses rapid fire aiming bullets in a straight line, dealing decent damage to anything it aims, slightly over average in everything, more good than bad.
STRARES

STRARES

Uses spread shot waves of bullets dealing weak damage and piercing targets, weak for bosses and PVP, however, might find some use for stages clearing. Investments in this dragon are not recommended.
RHINOSH

RHINOSH

Shoots both with strong green piercing shots and smaller aiming missiles deal decent damage to single target enemies and is capable in some degree to farm on its own. Over-average dragon, not a bad choice.
ENTRA

ENTRA

Attacks with rapid-fire single aiming shots. Damage of bullets is mediocre and lacks pierce, however, are very fast and can easily reach any opponent. Quite average dragon.
V-RHINOSH

V-RHINOSH

Uses weak spread shot piercing bullets reaching most of the map. Can be a little bit useful for stage clearing but for bosses and PvP leaves with a lot to ask. Overall weak dragon, not worth to focus on this one.
A-STRARES

A-STRARES

Low fire rate and damage are the worst sides of this dragon. Even despite full map spread shot and pierce, the overall DPS of this dragon is more than weak. Maybe when upgraded fully would show more use but there are better dragons to invest in.
E-CIERABO

E-CIERABO

Great wood attribute dragon, launches homing spheres which makes huge poisonous clouds, dealing damage over time. Damage is relatively big compared to other epic dragons and keeps stacking over time. Works best on big targets or PVP. Powerful epic dragon can match with some legendary dragons.
GAIGARUS

GAIGARUS

Shoots with green auto-aiming bullets, piercing every target up to four times. Fire rate of bullets is low, however, the damage is quite good. Easily takes down groups of enemies and focuses well on bosses. Slow first reload rate is the biggest weakness of this dragon which makes him less effective for PvP.
OURWIN

OURWIN

Excellent PvE dragon, uses full map AoE shockwave dealing damage to every opponent on the map. Deals better damage as the opponent is closer to the dragon. Good for PVP but because of very slow fire rate, can’t deal good damage to bosses. Overall, good dragon and worth investing for fast stages progression.
ASAZEL

ASAZEL

One to rule them all: Asazel. Shots with fast auto-aiming bullets with great damage, exploding when hitting the target and dealing with additional AoE damage. His fire rate is very high and damage even better. Can attack only at close range, but his power and speed are unmatched by any other dragon in the game. 5* version can easily compete with 6* dragons and beat them to ash. Marvellous in everything.
